1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using CatchWish (“the Service”) you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of service

CatchWish is a wishlist web application that allows anyone (“Users”) to create wishlists for any occasion, add wish items with photos and product links, and share those lists with others (“Guests”) via unique token-based links. Guests may view shared lists and coordinate gifting by claiming items.

3. Accounts & eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use the Service.
• You sign in via Google OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account.
• You may not use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.

4. User content

You retain ownership of any content you upload or create (“User Content”), including wishlist names, item descriptions, and photos. By uploading User Content you grant CatchWish a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and display that content solely to operate the Service.

You are solely responsible for your User Content. You must not upload content that is illegal, infringing, defamatory, or harmful.

5. Shared links & guests

When you share a wishlist you generate a unique link containing a random token. Anyone who holds that link can view the wishlist and claim items. You are responsible for deciding who to share the link with. CatchWish is not responsible for unintended recipients accessing your list via a link you have shared.

6. Prohibited uses

You must not:

• Use the Service in any way that violates applicable law.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure.
• Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the Service.
• Upload malicious code, viruses, or any content intended to disrupt or damage the Service.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.

7. Intellectual property

All rights in the CatchWish name, logo, design, and software (excluding User Content) are owned by or licensed to us. Nothing in these Terms grants you a right to use our intellectual property outside of the normal use of the Service.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Product links and images are provided for convenience; we do not endorse any specific retailer or product.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, CatchWish shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of or inability to use the Service.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if we believe you have violated these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may stop using the Service at any time. To delete your account and all associated data, contact us at the address below.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of CatchWish after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts.
